This is the question that started it all. We met on the online dating app Tinder, and after a pick-up line like that, how could we not continue talking? We talked almost every day for a month before we could make our schedules line up to meet.

Our first date was on December 22, 2022. It was -17 degrees that night with a windchill of -45. Kara was a little apprehensive about meeting Jake. After all, what if Jake was a creep from the internet and Kara's car wouldn't start because of the extreme cold as she tried to get away? We both braved the weather to meet for the first time at P's Pizza, and we talked for 3 hours and agreed to meet again soon, which ended up being the very next day.

Kara knew Jake's true feelings for her when he promised to make her 25 meals if she would cancel and throw away her Hello Fresh meals that she had stashed in the fridge.

As we spent more and more time together, we both felt and knew we were the right person for each other. We truly complete each other in a way that neither of us thought was possible.

Almost two years after we first met, Jake proposed to Kara at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida in front of Christine, her parents, and her brother and his family. It was a perfect way for their love story to come full circle.
